About The Position

Bright Horizons is seeking a full-time Teacher I for their Little Cruisers center in Miami, Florida, working with two-year-olds. This role involves creating hands-on activities, communicating with parents about their child's development, ensuring a safe and clean classroom environment, and providing teaching coverage as needed across the center or in nearby locations. The position offers opportunities for professional growth, including pursuing a CDA or college degree at no cost, and is part of a supportive community focused on making a meaningful impact on children's lives.

Requirements

• Candidates must pass required state and company background checks and meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements
• 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED is required
• Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) for children is required
• Florida Care Provider Clearinghouse Background Screening
• DCF 45 hours required (depending on in-state experience per DCF guidelines)

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of professional experience teaching in child care, daycare, or preschool settings is preferred
• CDA, Associate, or bachelor’s degree in early education or related field is preferred

Responsibilities

• Create hands-on activities to meet the needs and interests of the children
• Maintain open communication with parents, sharing their child's daily milestones
• Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines
• Provide support in any classroom or age group where teaching coverage is needed across a center or in nearby locations
