About The Position

Bright Horizons is hiring a Child Care Teacher to support children’s social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth in a safe, nurturing environment. The teacher will work with a team to deliver engaging curriculum and provide supervision, care, and services in accordance with Bright Horizons’ policies and applicable laws and regulations. This position is eligible for up to a $1,500 hiring incentive and includes opportunities to pursue a CDA or college degree at no cost through the Horizons CDA & Degree Program. The role requires in-person work at an early education/preschool child care center in the Boston, Massachusetts area.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED.
Hold required MA DEEC teacher certification (Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care).
Demonstrate knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) for children.
Pass required state and company background checks and meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements.
Comply with applicable immunization, employment physical/screening, and health and safety training requirements.

Nice To Haves

One year of professional teaching experience in child care, daycare, or preschool settings is preferred.
A CDA, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree in early education or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

Create hands-on activities that meet children’s needs and interests.
Maintain open communication with parents and share children’s daily milestones.
Keep the classroom safe and clean by following essential procedures and guidelines.
Collaborate with a team to create engaging curriculum.
Provide in-person supervision, care, curriculum delivery, and services in accordance with Bright Horizons’ policies, procedures, guidance, and applicable laws and regulations.
Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth.
