Child Care Teacher
About The Position
Bright Horizons at Fishkill is hiring a Child Care Teacher to work with infants or toddlers. The teacher creates hands-on activities that meet children's needs and interests, communicates with parents about daily milestones, and maintains a safe, clean classroom by following required procedures and guidelines. The role may provide teaching coverage in any classroom or age group across the center or in nearby locations. The position is in person at an early education/preschool child care center in the Hopewell Junction, NY area. The employee provides supervision, care, curriculum delivery, and services in accordance with Bright Horizons policies, procedures, and guidance, applicable laws and regulations, and child and employee safety requirements. The schedule is rotating, Monday through Friday. The hourly pay range is $19.75 to $24.10, with actual offers depending on experience, education, training, certifications, geography, and other relevant factors.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
- Have college-level coursework in early childhood education, a CDA, or an associate or bachelor's degree in early education or a related field.
- Demonstrate knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) for children.
- Pass required state and company background checks and meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements.
Nice To Haves
- One year of professional experience teaching in a child care, daycare, or preschool setting is preferred.
