About The Position

Bright Horizons is hiring a Child Care Teacher to provide supervision, care, curriculum delivery, and services in person at an early education/preschool child care center in the Charlestown, Massachusetts area. The teacher will help create a safe, nurturing environment that supports children’s social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth, and collaborate with a team to develop engaging curriculum. The role includes opportunities to learn from early education experts and pursue a CDA or college degree at no cost through the Horizons CDA & Degree Program. The hourly pay range is $24.75–$30.20. Actual compensation within this range depends on factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED.
Hold MA DEEC teacher certification (Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care).
Demonstrate knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) for children.
Pass required state and company background checks and meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements.
Comply with applicable immunization, employment physical/screening, and health and safety training requirements.

Nice To Haves

One year of professional teaching experience in child care, daycare, or preschool settings is preferred.
A CDA, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree in early education or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

Create hands-on activities that meet children’s needs and interests.
Maintain open communication with parents and share their child’s daily milestones.
Maintain a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines.
Provide supervision, care, curriculum delivery, and services in accordance with Bright Horizons’ policies, procedures, and guidance and applicable laws and regulations.
Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth.
Collaborate with a team to create engaging curriculum.
