About The Position

The Child Care Manager supervises and cares for children and babies in a small childcare setting. The role includes assisting children with daily tasks, organizing activities, monitoring behavior, and maintaining a clean and sanitized nursery. The position also has some supervisory and scheduling responsibilities. Employees must give children and infants their full attention throughout each shift; studying and cell phone use are not allowed.

Requirements

Current certification in infant/child CPR, First Aid, and AED.
Be enthusiastic and constantly alert.
Be able to listen to, watch, and interact with children of various age groups for varying periods.
Be able to anticipate and prevent potential problems.
Be able to appropriately handle disruptive children.
Maintain patience and energy throughout a shift.
Communicate effectively with parents or members, children, coworkers, and management.
Be capable of sitting or standing; reaching with hands and arms; talking or hearing; walking frequently; occasionally stooping, kneeling, or crouching; and lifting or moving up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

Create schedules for Kid Care employees in assistance to Club leadership.
Arrive promptly at the scheduled time and wear the required uniform: a Club T-shirt, black or khaki pants or shorts, and a Club hat only.
Greet children and parents or members when they arrive.
Assist children and babies with daily tasks, such as jackets, shoes, or toys they cannot reach.
Contact a parent or member when a diaper needs to be changed.
Organize and initiate playtime activities.
Monitor and manage children's behavior, including appropriately handling disruptive children.
Organize, store, and sanitize play equipment daily.
Clean at the end of the shift, including cleaning windows, disposing of trash, vacuuming carpet, and disinfecting desks, chairs, swings, cribs, and similar items.
Wash linens and pillows daily.
Provide supervision and scheduling as required.
