About The Position

As a Kitchen Assistant at Bright Horizons, you will support children, families, and staff in a child care setting. Each day, from breakfast to afternoon snack, you will prepare and deliver premade meals that help fuel children’s growing minds. We are hiring a part-time Kitchen Support team member to work Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Requirements

• Candidates must pass required state and company background checks and meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements:
• 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED is required
• Have a food handler certification within 30 days of hire is required

Nice To Haves

• Course work or certification in Nutrition is preferred
• Food service experience in a childcare center, school cafeteria, commercial kitchen, or high‑volume food service setting is preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, and deliver premade nutritious meals and snacks following approved menus, daily attendance, nutritional guidelines, and food safety requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen by following sanitation, health, allergy‑management, and inventory procedures, including ordering and storage of food and supplies.
• Partner with center staff, leadership, and vendors to support daily classroom routines, special dietary needs, and smooth meal service operations.
