About The Position

West Central Community Action is actively recruiting for a Full-Time Child Care Consultant based in Creston, IA. This role is part of the Child Care Resource and Referral Program. Child Care Consultants are responsible for recruiting, educating, providing technical assistance to, and advocating for child care providers. They also utilize a quality rating system for program planning and staff development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Arts or Sciences with an emphasis or education based in Early Childhood, or similar degree
• Sound technical and computer skills
• Own dependable transportation
• Current and valid driver's license
• Maintain up-to-date auto liability insurance
• Must complete background check which includes an FBI fingerprint record check

Responsibilities

• Recruiting child care providers
• Educating child care providers
• Providing technical assistance to child care providers
• Advocating for child care providers
• Utilizing a quality rating system for program planning and staff development
