About The Position
Do you love caring for young children in a fun and safe environment? The Childcare Attendant is responsible for the personal needs of children ages 2 months to 6 years (feeding, sleeping, diapering), and for various children's activities such as art, story time, games, and outside play. This is a seasonal position for the Winter 2026/2027 season.
Requirements
- Ability to handle a fast paced environment
- Ability to speak to the children at eye level
- Ability to follow all procedures and guidelines as outlined in the staff manual
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
- At least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma, or GED
- Experience working with groups of children ages 18 months to 5 years
Nice To Haves
- Rest of education can be met within 12 months
Responsibilities
- Provide a pleasant, safe and clean environment suitable for children and staff
- Work with children to provide a pleasant experience including games, feeding, and changing
- Comply with all State Regulations including required training and education
- Eat Lunch with the children; feed younger children according to parent schedule
- Diaper children, assist in toilet training
