About The Position
The Seasonal Childcare Attendant is responsible for providing a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for children of club members during scheduled childcare programming. This role supports Hillwood Country Club’s commitment to delivering a premier family-friendly experience while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and member service.
Requirements
- High School Education
- Ability to arrive 15 minutes prior to each shift for setup and preparation
- Ability to maintain appropriate supervision ratios (maximum 5 children per attendant per session)
- Ability to respond appropriately to incidents, injuries, or behavioral concerns
- Ability to adhere to all applicable childcare regulations and club guidelines
- Ability to communicate clearly and positively with parents regarding their child’s experience
- Ability to prepare childcare areas prior to each session (toys, supplies, cleanliness)
- Ability to maintain accurate attendance and participation records
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms
- Ability to occasionally stand, walk, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Ability to perform close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, safe, and engaging supervision for children as designated by club policy
- Maintain appropriate supervision ratios (maximum 5 children per attendant per session)
- Monitor children continuously to ensure safety and well-being
- Lead age-appropriate activities, games, and creative play
- Enforce all club childcare policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Ensure proper check-in and check-out procedures for all children
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free childcare environment
- Respond appropriately to incidents, injuries, or behavioral concerns
- Adhere to all applicable childcare regulations and club guidelines
- Deliver a welcoming and professional experience for members and their children
- Communicate clearly and positively with parents regarding their child’s experience
- Support a family-friendly club environment aligned with Hillwood’s service philosophy
- Prepare childcare areas prior to each session (toys, supplies, cleanliness)
- Assist with organizing and executing structured programming during peak times
- Maintain accurate attendance and participation records
- Support efforts to drive participation, particularly during high-demand periods (e.g., Friday/Saturday evenings)
