About The Position

Bright Horizons is hiring a full-time Associate Teacher to work with preschoolers in an early education and preschool child care center. The role provides supervision, care, curriculum delivery, and services in accordance with Bright Horizons policies, procedures, and guidance, as well as applicable laws and regulations. The employee helps provide a safe environment for children and supports their daily learning and development. The position is performed in person. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must pass required state and company background checks.
• Must meet applicable state and company minimum education and experience requirements.
• Must comply with applicable immunization, employment physical or screening, and health and safety training requirements.
• Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the role, including frequently lifting, carrying, or holding children weighing 10 to 40 pounds and occasionally handling weights over 40 pounds.
• Must demonstrate a full range of motion to lift, reach, squat, climb, sit, and participate in activities.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of experience working in child care, daycare, or preschool settings.
• A CDA, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree in early education or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hands-on activities that meet children’s needs and interests.
• Maintain open communication with parents and share their child’s daily milestones.
• Keep the classroom safe and clean by following required procedures and guidelines.
• Provide supervision, care, curriculum delivery, and services in line with Bright Horizons policies, procedures, guidance, and applicable laws and regulations.
• Respond immediately and appropriately to multiple or unexpected situations or emergencies.
• Maintain the alertness and energy needed to perform essential job requirements.
