About The Position

Bright Horizons is hiring a full-time Associate Teacher to work with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers in an early education/preschool child care center. The role provides supervision, care, curriculum delivery, and related services in accordance with Bright Horizons policies and guidance and applicable laws and regulations, with the goal of ensuring children’s safety. Teachers can learn from early education experts and may pursue a CDA or college degree at no cost through the Horizons CDA & Degree Program.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Pass required state and company background checks.
• Meet applicable state and company minimum education and experience requirements.
• Comply with applicable federal, state, local, Bright Horizons, and client-site requirements concerning immunizations, employment physicals or screening, and health and safety training.
• Be able to frequently lift, carry, or hold children weighing 10 to 40 pounds and occasionally lift, carry, or hold more than 40 pounds.
• Demonstrate a full range of motion for lifting, reaching, squatting, climbing, sitting, and participating in activities.
• Maintain mental and physical alertness and an appropriate level of energy to perform essential job requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of experience working in child care, daycare, or preschool settings is preferred.
• A CDA, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree in early education or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hands-on activities that meet children’s needs and interests.
• Maintain open communication with parents and share children’s daily milestones.
• Keep the classroom safe and clean by following required procedures and guidelines.
• Provide supervision, care, curriculum delivery, and services in accordance with Bright Horizons policies, procedures, and guidance, and applicable laws and regulations.
• Follow applicable immunization, employment physical or screening, and health and safety training requirements.
• Respond immediately and appropriately to multiple or unexpected situations and emergencies.
