About The Position

This position is a location float position that will have regular scheduled hours, working shifts at various Y Winnipeg child care locations. The role offers part-time, flexible hours with no nights or weekends, providing opportunities for laughs, exercise, and memorable experiences in a child care setting. The Y is committed to providing an inclusive environment where diversity is welcomed and encouraged. All applicants will be thoroughly screened through a review process including Police Record Checks with Vulnerable Sector Search and Child Abuse Registry Checks.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Willingness to obtain Emergency First Aid and CPR C certification
• Clear Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search and Child Abuse Registry Check
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Nice To Haves

• Genuine interest in working with children
• Training or experience with children
• Valid Driver's License and regular access to a vehicle
• Open to valuable on the job training and mentorship

Responsibilities

• Plan and participate in children's activities
• Maintain a clean and safe daycare environment
• Work at various Y child care centres
• Work regular scheduled hours, shifts at various Y Winnipeg child care locations
