About The Position
This position is in the Fitness Center department and involves providing a safe and supervised environment for children. The role requires ensuring the environment is safe, clean, and in good repair, following proper protocols for accepting children, and interacting appropriately with children and parents. The assistant will also help maintain the classroom environment to support children's creative involvement.
Requirements
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Responsibilities
- Provide a safe environment for children.
- Ensure children are supervised at all times.
- Ensure the environment is safe, clean and in good repair. Report deficiencies to supervisor immediately.
- Follow acceptable protocol when accepting children for child care coverage.
- Interact with children and parents appropriately.
- Assist in maintaining the ordered arrangement, appearance, décor, and learning environment of the classroom while allowing for the expressive and creative involvement and interaction of children.
