This is a temporary, part-time position for a Child Care Assistant, not to exceed 90 days. The role involves planning and executing early childhood education experiences to promote the emotional, social, intellectual, and physical development of each child. The assistant will work with the director and teachers to develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities, fostering a positive program environment. Responsibilities include assisting in planned activities, interacting with children using approved guidance techniques, and professionally interacting with staff, parents, and the command. The role also involves assisting in maintaining program data and completing daily reports. Additionally, the assistant will help prepare and maintain activity areas, monitor children's safety and whereabouts at all times, and assist with routine caregiving tasks, including snack/meal preparation and serving. Health checks and ensuring the safety and well-being of children are also key aspects of the role.
