About The Position

Bright Horizons is hiring a Child Care Assistant Teacher to support children’s social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth in an early education or preschool child care center. The role involves assisting with hands-on activities, communicating with parents about children’s daily milestones, and maintaining a safe, clean classroom. The assistant teacher may provide coverage in any classroom or age group across a center or at nearby locations. The position is performed in person and requires compliance with applicable health, safety, immunization, and screening requirements. Bright Horizons offers opportunities to pursue a CDA or college degree at no cost through its Horizons CDA & Degree Program.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must pass required state and company background checks.
• Must meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements.
• Must comply with applicable immunization, employment physical or screening, and health and safety training requirements.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience working in child care, daycare, or preschool settings is preferred.
• CDA, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree in early education or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hands-on activities that meet children’s needs and interests.
• Maintain open communication with parents and share their child’s daily milestones.
• Keep the classroom safe and clean by following required procedures and guidelines.
• Provide teaching coverage in classrooms or age groups where needed across a center or nearby locations.
• Provide supervision, care, curriculum delivery, and services in accordance with Bright Horizons policies, procedures, and guidance, applicable laws and regulations, and child safety requirements.
• Collaborate with a team to create engaging curriculum that supports children’s development.
