About The Position

BrightPath Kids is seeking a Child Care Assistant Teacher for its Orchard Park, New York center. The assistant teacher works alongside teachers and families to provide children with a home-away-from-home experience in accordance with NAEYC guidelines. The role supports the safety, supervision, learning, and well-being of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. Paid training on classroom procedures is provided; prior classroom experience is not required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
• Assist teachers with classroom instruction.
• Decorate classrooms, indoors and outdoors, as needed.
• Maintain a warm, safe, and clean environment where children can grow and explore.
• Interact with children and encourage their participation in activities.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child.
