Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous childcare experience preferred
- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate practices
- Understanding of classroom health, safety, and sanitation requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Positive attitude, dependable work ethic, and passion for working with children
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing curriculum and daily classroom activities
- Support children's learning through play, exploration, and hands-on experiences
- Maintain a consistent daily schedule, including meals, nap time, outdoor play, and educational activities
- Help children develop social skills and resolve conflicts in positive, age-appropriate ways
- Create a warm, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
- Maintain open, respectful communication with co-workers and families
- Ensure classrooms remain safe, clean, organized, and healthy throughout the day
