About The Position
BrightPath Kids is hiring a full-time Child Care Assistant Teacher at its Camillus, New York center. The assistant teacher works alongside teachers and families to provide a welcoming, home-like environment for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. No prior classroom experience is required; paid training on classroom procedures is provided. The role offers pay of $16.00–$18.00 per hour and does not require evening or weekend work.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain organized.
- Ability to work within regular operating hours.
- Must meet state criteria for child care employment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
- Assist teachers with classroom instruction.
- Decorate classrooms indoors and outdoors as needed.
- Maintain a warm, safe, and clean environment where children can grow and explore.
- Interact with children to encourage participation in activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child.
