About The Position

BrightPath Kids is hiring a full-time Child Care Assistant Teacher in Williamsville, New York. The assistant teacher works alongside teachers and families to provide a home-away-from-home experience for children, following NAEYC guidelines. The role involves caring for children from 6 weeks to 12 years old, supporting classroom instruction, and helping maintain a safe, warm, clean environment where children can learn and explore. No classroom experience is required; paid training on classroom procedures is provided. The position has no evening or weekend work.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
• Assist teachers with classroom instruction.
• Decorate classrooms indoors and outdoors as needed.
• Maintain a warm, safe, and clean environment that allows children to grow and explore.
• Interact with children and encourage their involvement in activities.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child.
