About The Position

BrightPath Kids is hiring a full-time Child Care Assistant Teacher Preschool at its Ellington center. The role supports teachers and families in providing a home-away-from-home for children in accordance with NAEYC guidelines. The assistant helps maintain a safe, warm, clean environment where children can learn, grow, and explore. Paid training on classroom procedures is provided, so prior classroom experience is not required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years.
• Assist teachers with classroom instruction.
• Decorate classrooms and outdoor areas as needed.
• Maintain a warm, safe, and clean environment that allows children to grow and explore.
• Interact with children and encourage their participation in activities.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child.
