About The Position

The YMCA of Middle Tennessee is seeking Part-time Before and After School Childcare Assistants for their School Age Programs. This role involves actively leading and engaging groups of 15-20 children in activities, setting up and maintaining program spaces, implementing curriculum, building positive relationships with staff, school personnel, and families, and ensuring site licensing and quality standards are met. The position is ideal for individuals passionate about youth development and making a difference in children's lives, fostering their social, physical, spiritual, and mental growth in a fun, safe, and engaging environment.

Requirements

Minimum Age: 18
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Enthusiastic, organized, and team-oriented individuals with a passion for youth development.
Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills with the ability to multitask.
Must be available Monday through Friday
Must be able to commit to ongoing employment during the 2026–2027 school year
Before your first shift: Orientation, DHS Background Check, Fingerprinting, Abuse Registry Check, health forms, training sessions, and references.
Within 30 days of hire: CPR/First Aid/AED (Infant/Pediatric).
