About The Position

An important program at many of our Family Shelters is the Day Care/Early Learn program to help children who are impacted by homelessness. As Childcare Aide, you’ll play an important role in helping the children at one of our sites continue to learn and develop despite the hardships encountered by their families.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent OR equivalent experience and skills.
• Experience working with preschool age children.
• Computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office applications.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Teachers and Assistant Teachers with facilitation of educational curriculum and implementation of lesson plans and daily activity schedules.
• Keeping equipment accessible and in good, clean, sanitized condition and removing and reporting damaged or unsafe equipment.
• Meeting and greeting the children and their families daily and encouraging families to volunteer and participate in their children’s program.
