About The Position

Blackbird Health is a clinician-founded, owned, and operated company dedicated to providing the best mental health services for children. We offer virtual and in-person services across Pennsylvania, Virginia, and New Jersey, with plans to expand into new markets. Our approach focuses on the whole child, addressing the interaction between the brain, body, and behavior to tackle the root causes of challenges. We are seeking a Child and Adolescent Therapist to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA, to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and make a significant difference in the lives of young patients and their families.

Requirements

  • Independently licensed as a LSW in Pennsylvania
  • One (1) year of experience providing individual, direct care therapy to children and adolescent patients
  • One (1) year of experience working in a tele-health or virtual setting
  • Flexibility to work during Blackbird's core after-school hours: after 4pm ET during the week and/or weekends
  • Skilled in facilitating both in-person and virtual telehealth sessions with strong technical proficiency (Google Suite, EMR systems, virtual platforms)
  • Proactive problem-solver with strong clinical judgment and excellent communication and documentation abilities
  • Collaborative team player who values clinical consultation, feedback, and professional growth

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual evidence-based therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults (ages 2-26), building strong therapeutic relationships through consistent, high-quality care
  • Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans based on ongoing assessment of patient progress
  • Invest in patient relationships by establishing positive, trusting rapport with patients
  • Participate in consultation to enhance clinical skills and receive feedback and support
  • Collaborate with other specialty providers
  • Maintain thorough, timely clinical documentation and patient records
  • Involve and advise family members or outside specialists when appropriate
