About The Position

We are seeking a board-certified Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our growing behavioral health department. This role offers a unique "best of both worlds" opportunity: a primary focus on high-impact outpatient care while serving as Core Faculty for our Psychiatry Residency Program. As we expand our continuum of care, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to help shape and transition into our upcoming Inpatient Child & Adolescent unit, providing a clear path for professional growth and clinical leadership.

Requirements

  • MD or DO from an accredited school of medicine.
  • Completion of an ACGME-accredited General Psychiatry Residency and a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship.
  • Board Certified (BC) in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • Must hold an unrestricted state medical license.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in an academic setting or a strong desire to teach and mentor the next generation of physicians is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and consultations for children and adolescents.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and integrated therapeutic approaches.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of social workers, psychologists, and pediatricians to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Participate in the strategic planning and eventual launch of the Inpatient C&A service line.
  • Serve as Core Faculty for the Psychiatry Residency Program, maintaining compliance with ACGME requirements.
  • Provide direct clinical supervision and mentorship to residents and fellows during their C&A rotations.
  • Develop and deliver didactic lectures on child development, pediatric psychopharmacology, and adolescent pathology.
  • Engage in scholarly activity, including clinical research, quality improvement projects, or curriculum development.
