About The Position

We are seeking a Child & Adult Psychiatrist for a Locum Tenens position in San Jose, CA. This is an outpatient role with a focus on clinical duties only. The psychiatrist will be responsible for performing psychiatric assessments, evaluations, and MSEs, providing DSM-based diagnoses, and ongoing medication management for assigned patients. The role involves obtaining and reviewing diagnostic data, labs, and consultations relevant to patient treatment, as well as advising families and caregivers regarding diagnoses, treatment, and intersection with developmental disabilities. The patient demographic includes all ages (5 and up) with an estimated patient volume of 6-10 per shift. The support staff includes a Medical Director, Nurses, and Case Managers. The EMR system used is Avatar NX.

Requirements

• Active CA License
• BC/BE
• Flu & Covid Vaccines
• Local Candidate

Responsibilities
