About The Position

The Child & Adolescent Psychologist will work with our multi-disciplinary team to provide psychology and psychiatry services to children and adolescents, ages 2 -18 with behavioral, neurodevelopmental, and emotional challenges such as depression and anxiety, attention deficit disorders (ADD/ADHD), and autism spectrum disorders. The primary focus of this role will be conducting psychological testing but a background in both testing and therapy is preferred. The Psychologist must possess knowledge and understanding of normal pediatric/adolescent growth and brain development and have experience with pediatric/adolescent mental health diagnoses and a variety of treatment milieu and psychological tests.

Requirements

  • Doctoral Degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) from an APA accredited institution.
  • Training in child growth and development.
  • Experience using a variety of treatment milieu and psychological tests.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Licensed Psychologist in the state of Texas, or the ability to obtain (will consider Provisional License if close to licensure).
  • American Heart Association CPR must be obtained prior to start.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in both testing and therapy is preferred.
  • Experience providing therapy to children with ADHD, developmental delays, mood disorders, autism spectrum disorders, complex psychiatric and neuropsychiatric conditions, and trauma-informed care.
  • Understand the impact of trauma and ecological, biological, and developmental factors on children and adolescents.
  • Prior experience working with children & families.
