About The Position
ChristianaCare is seeking a compassionate and skilled Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our growing Psychiatry & Behavioral Health team in Middletown, Delaware. This physician will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment services in an outpatient setting, serving primarily children and adolescents while working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary behavioral health team. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the mental health and well-being of young patients and their families while contributing to resident and trainee education within a leading healthcare system.
Requirements
- MD or DO eligible for staff appointment within the Department of Psychiatry.
- Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration in Delaware, Pennsylvania, and/or Maryland, as applicable.
- Experience providing psychiatric care to children and adolescents in a clinical setting.
Nice To Haves
- Board Certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment services in an outpatient setting.
- Serve primarily children and adolescents.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary behavioral health team.
- Contribute to resident and trainee education.
- Supervise and mentor residents.
- Participate in a broad array of scholarly activities, lectures/teaching to residents, and journal clubs.
- Participate in interdisciplinary teaching to team members.
