About The Position
A behavioral health hospital in Lafayette, Louisiana is seeking a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join its psychiatric team. This opportunity focuses on providing inpatient psychiatric care to children and adolescents within a 14-bed hospital setting.
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
- Eligible for Louisiana medical licensure
- Strong clinical and interpersonal skills
Nice To Haves
- Fellowship training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat children and adolescents with psychiatric disorders
- Provide inpatient psychiatric care
- Develop and oversee individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with therapists, nurses, psychologists, social workers, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team
- Participate in treatment planning and family education
- Coordinate discharge planning and continuity of care
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
