About The Position

This is a Locum Tenens position for a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist in Atlanta, GA. The role involves providing and supervising medical and physical care to admitted psychiatric patients in an inpatient setting. The psychiatrist will develop and implement treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapeutic methods, and collaborate closely with a treatment team, pharmacy, and hospital staff. The position also includes supervising nurse practitioners and managing a wide variety of psychiatric diagnoses across age ranges from pre-adolescent to geriatric.

Requirements

Board Certification required (Eligible accepted, must become certified within 24 months)
Licensed in GA
BLS, ACLS, ABLS certifications
Minimum 3 years post-residency preferred
Experience with wide age ranges (pre-adolescent to geriatric)
EPIC EMR experience preferred
Team-based care experience
Experience with organic disorders
Experience with involuntary commitments
Experience with seclusion therapy
Experience with restraint application
Experience with pharmacotherapy
Experience with group therapy
Experience with family therapy
Experience with ECT
