About The Position

St. Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute (SLBMI) is seeking Licensed Psychologists with expertise and a passion in the area of Children, Adolescents, and Family. Local Candidates in MO preferred, but not required. We are open to eligible candidates located outside of the St. Louis region who may be interested in joining our team through providing telehealth services. Interested candidates for this option must be professionally licensed in Missouri, or eligible to treat patients through telehealth via PSYPACT credentialing. Additionally, remote providers must be professionally licensed in the state they are residing in. Our clinicians enjoy the aspects of being an independent provider that are appealing, while having the administrative and operational support to manage everything else that you need as a provider. Our dedicated and multidisciplinary team of 70+ colleagues are willing to share their clinical expertise for case consultation, continuing education, and program development. About the Child, Adolescent, and Family Program: The program is primarily traditional individual outpatient or family therapy, with opportunity for group development. This program also offers opportunity to work in SLBMI's Teen Intensive Outpatient Program. Our experts in this program typically will treat youth-onset presentations of anxiety, OCD, depression and mood dysregulation, ADHD/executive functioning, noncompliance, negative behaviors and autism/related disorders. Other common referral concerns include adjustment to life stressors, familial changes, trauma, academic pressures and peer conflicts. Assessment experience with ADHD and anxiety/mood disorders is valuable but not required. We encourage applicants who have additional subspecialty interests and training. Such a model allows for the ability to earn more if you desire to have a larger caseload; a multidisciplinary team 70+ excellent colleagues willing to share their clinical expertise for case consultation, continuing education, and program development; opportunities for clinical presentations/speaking opportunities, consultations, research; opportunities to attend weekly training seminars as well as longer, more formal training seminars that occur several times per year (SLBMI is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists).

Requirements

Completed a Master’s or doctoral degree in a clinical mental health field (e.g. MSW, Professional Counselor, Ph.D).
Fully licensed by the State of Missouri to practice independently.
For psychologists not residing in Missouri: must have a current Psychology license in a PSYPACT state they reside in, hold a current PSYPACT credential and be willing to maintain that credential.
For remote providers: must be professionally licensed in the state they are residing in.
Credentialed-eligible for managed care panels in Missouri.
Previous experience treating youth-onset presentations of behavioral health conditions.

Nice To Haves

Assessment experience with ADHD and anxiety/mood disorders is valuable.
Additional subspecialty interests and training are encouraged.

Responsibilities

Provide traditional individual outpatient or family therapy.
Develop and lead groups.
Work in SLBMI's Teen Intensive Outpatient Program.
