Requirements

  • Senior technology leadership in organizations undergoing digital transformation, ideally in data-rich or regulated industries.
  • Strong engineering and architectural background with recent hands-on experience; fluency in cloud infrastructure, data platforms, and AI/ML.
  • Demonstrated ability to modernize legacy systems, accelerate product development, and lead large-scale teams.
  • Exceptional communicator and enterprise leader, capable of aligning diverse stakeholders and representing CAS externally.
  • Passion for advancing science and research through technology.
  • Candidates for this position must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in scientific publishing, healthcare, enterprise SaaS, or similar sectors.
  • Leadership roles in scaled organizations ($500M+ revenue) or startup-to-scale environments.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute a bold, future-oriented technology vision aligned with CAS’s mission and growth strategy.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the President and executive team on technology investments, innovation, and emerging capabilities.
  • Lead a global technology organization with a culture of excellence, agility, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the modernization of CAS’s technology stack, reducing technical debt and enabling scalable, cloud-native platforms.
  • Drive the evolution of internal and customer-facing environments, including AWS-based infrastructure and next-gen architecture.
  • Champion modern engineering practices (Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, automation) to enhance speed, security, and reliability.
  • Build enterprise data architecture to support AI/ML, predictive analytics, and data-driven product innovation.
  • Collaborate with product, data science, and research teams to deliver intelligent, high-value scientific solutions.
  • Ensure CAS remains a global leader in curated, actionable scientific data.
  • Attract, develop, and retain world-class technical talent while building future leadership capacity.
  • Evolve organizational structures, tools, and processes to support scale, agility, and innovation.
