About The Position

Praescient Analytics is seeking a Chief System Engineer, SME to provide high-level technical and engineering support to the Office of the Undersecretary of War for Research and Engineering (OUSW(R&E)). This role is vital to the Prototyping and Experiments (P&E) mission, which identifies and develops forward-looking concepts to maintain U.S. technological superiority. You will lead the engineering efforts for major technology programs valued over $100M, ensuring that advanced warfighting capabilities are rapidly developed and fielded to meet Joint Warfighting Concepts (JWC). U.S. Citizenship is Required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a Chief System Engineer (or Deputy) for major technology programs/portfolios valued at over $100M.
  • Minimum 8 years of leadership experience on classified programs at the SCI level or higher.
  • Minimum 8 years of operational and technical experience in military tactics focused on PNT data and C5ISRT.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the DoD 5000 series acquisition lifecycle and Agile Development processes.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing formal risk management processes for technology programs.
  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline related to PNT and/or C5ISRT.
  • Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance and be Special Access Program (SAP) eligible.
  • U.S. Citizenship is Required.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Military or Department of War (DoW) experience.
  • Experience with systems that integrate and analyze data from multiple sources (C5ISRT) and countering those systems (C-C5ISRT).

Responsibilities

  • Act as the Chief System Engineer (CSE) providing leadership and oversight for complex technology design, manufacturing, integration, and test programs.
  • Conduct scientific and engineering technical assessments of proposed prototypes and experimentations.
  • Apply technical methods focused on the control and protection of Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) data in contested environments.
  • Utilize foundational knowledge in Electromagnetics and Radio Frequencies (EM/RF) to evaluate sensor system performance and operational feasibility.
  • Execute activities supporting the DoD 5000 series acquisition lifecycle and establish formal risk management processes for technology development.
  • Oversee technical requirements and assessments for new and emerging capabilities to close strategic and tactical kill chains.
  • Participate in red teaming activities to identify potential adversarial responses to capabilities under development.
