About The Position

The Chief Strategy & Integration Officer (CSIO) is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team and serves as the President & CEO's strategic partner in advancing enterprise priorities, organizational effectiveness, and long-term growth. Acting as both a builder and connector, the CSIO strengthens the organization's ability to execute its mission by aligning people, systems, departments, and resources around shared strategic priorities. The CSIO leads enterprise strategy, organizational integration, innovation, business intelligence, executive planning, and strategic initiatives while fostering collaboration across departments to ensure The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region remains agile, forward-thinking, and positioned for sustainable growth. Working across the organization, the CSIO transforms strategic vision into measurable organizational impact through data-informed decision making, cross-functional leadership, continuous improvement, and disciplined execution.

Requirements

  • Master's degree required in Business Administration, Public Administration, Organizational Leadership, Healthcare Administration, Nonprofit Management, Community Planning, or a related field.
  • Minimum of ten years of progressively responsible executive leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading enterprise strategic initiatives and organizational transformation.
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives in nonprofit, healthcare, behavioral health, human services, or similarly complex organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating executive teams, organizational change, and strategic planning.
  • Strong understanding of organizational development, systems thinking, business intelligence, and performance management.
  • Maintenance of all required training under The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region and monarc, LLC policies and procedures.

  • Foster a highly collaborative executive culture focused on enterprise success rather than departmental optimization.
  • Represent the CEO and organization with credibility and professionalism in strategic initiatives and external partnerships.
  • Lead development, coordination, monitoring, and refinement of the organization's Strategic Plan.
  • Translate strategic priorities into measurable enterprise initiatives with defined outcomes and accountability.
  • Facilitate organizational strategic planning processes with executive leadership, the Board of Directors, and key stakeholders.
  • Monitor progress toward strategic goals and recommend adjustments based on changing organizational needs.
  • Conduct environmental scanning, trend analysis, and scenario planning to support executive decision-making.
  • Lead the identification, evaluation, feasibility analysis, and business planning for new service lines, strategic ventures, strategic partnerships, affiliations, acquisitions, and organizational growth opportunities prior to operational implementation.
  • Identify emerging opportunities that advance the organization's mission, sustainability, and long-term impact.
  • Strengthen coordination across Finance, Human Resources, Programs, Clinical Services, Advancement, Technology, Facilities, and other departments to improve organizational effectiveness.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives that require collaboration across multiple departments.
  • Identify organizational barriers, redundancies, and inefficiencies, recommending solutions that improve alignment and performance.
  • Facilitate executive collaboration to ensure enterprise initiatives remain coordinated and successfully implemented.
  • Build systems that improve communication, transparency, and organizational accountability.
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities for organizational growth, new services, strategic partnerships, affiliations, acquisitions, and diversified revenue.
  • Lead enterprise innovation efforts that improve services, operations, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Evaluate emerging trends in disability services, healthcare, behavioral health, workforce development, housing, technology, and public policy.
  • Support expansion opportunities, including new markets, service lines, and strategic investments.
  • Develop business cases and implementation strategies for significant organizational initiatives.
  • Build organizational capacity by improving systems, processes, governance, and enterprise performance.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop organizational performance measures and enterprise dashboards that support executive decision-making.
  • Utilize data analytics to identify trends, opportunities, and organizational risks.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, learning, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead strategic initiatives assigned by the President & CEO.
  • Coordinate enterprise-level priorities across the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Prepare executive analyses, strategic recommendations, and briefing materials for the President & CEO and Board of Directors.
  • Ensure organizational follow-through on enterprise initiatives and executive decisions.
  • Ensure implementation plans are developed, executive responsibilities assigned, milestones established, and organizational progress monitored.
  • Support governance activities through strategic planning materials, Board education, and organizational reporting.
  • Develop executive dashboards and key performance indicators that provide meaningful insight into organizational performance.
  • Synthesize operational, financial, workforce, and quality data into actionable recommendations.
  • Lead enterprise performance reporting that supports organizational learning and continuous improvement.
  • Build systems that enable leadership to make proactive, data-informed decisions.
  • Promote organizational learning by evaluating outcomes, sharing best practices, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Foster collaboration, trust, and shared accountability across the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Coach and support leaders responsible for enterprise initiatives.
  • Facilitate change management strategies that promote organizational adoption and sustainability.
  • Help strengthen succession planning and leadership development across the organization.
  • Build organizational capacity by developing systems rather than creating dependency on individuals.
  • Develop strategic partnerships that advance organizational priorities and community impact.
  • Represent The Arc NCR in regional, statewide, and national initiatives related to innovation, systems change, and organizational advancement.
  • Cultivate relationships with funders, governmental agencies, community partners, and thought leaders.
  • Identify collaborative opportunities that strengthen The Arc NCR's leadership position within the disability community.
