About The Position

L3Harris seeks a senior technical leader with a demonstrated track record managing high-performing teams delivering complex systems to the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community, especially in Space Domain Awareness and mission-critical software environments. The ideal candidate brings program management, systems engineering, and configuration management expertise, and pairs these with hands-on software lifecycle experience and a proven record of optimizing processes and stakeholder engagement.

Requirements

  • Must Have an Active Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline with a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience; Or, Graduate degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience; Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 16 years of prior related experience
  • Experience leading large development teams using Scrum methodology
  • Experience integrating, testing, and deploying software applications to operations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with substantial government customer interface experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of software testing and quality assurance

  • SAFe Agilist 5.1 and SAFe Product Owner/Product Management (POPM) 5.1 certifications
  • Experience with Space Domain Systems
  • Expertise in configuration management and version control
  • Ability to implement and optimize configuration management, build/release pipelines, and automation tools (JIRA, Git, Jenkins, AWS, containerization)
  • Strong program management, proposal, and technical briefing skills
  • Space software mission or command and control experience strongly preferred
  • Experience working with a diverse, multi-site, multi-company team

Responsibilities

  • Proven technical leadership of multidisciplinary Agile teams (50+ professionals) on complex DoD/IC space domain or mission system programs
  • Demonstrated ability to drive program execution including requirements selloff, roadmap planning, Earned Value Management (EVM), and product delivery to exceed customer expectations
  • Expertise coordinating technical, programmatic, and customer engagement across software/systems engineering, development, integration, test, and deployment for high-consequence national security missions
  • Strong experience leading teams in Space Domain Awareness or similar mission domains with direct customer briefing and stakeholder management
  • Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with Agile (SAFe) practices—SAFe Agilist and SAFe Product Owner/Product Management certified
  • Experience implementing DevSecOps, system integration, release management, and deployment in secure environments
  • Comprehensive expertise in software configuration management, release engineering, and automation (JIRA, Git/GitLab, Jenkins, containerization)
  • Experience supporting all aspects of configuration management, including version control policies, CCB meetings, ERB meetings, and baselines across cloud and multi-domain environments
  • Demonstrated success improving engineering productivity, quality, and delivery through process optimization and automation
  • Ability to oversee and support all phases of the software development lifecycle including system design, test, deployment, and sustainment of satellite C2 or similar government systems
