About The Position

Particle Labs USA is an advanced technology company focused on next-generation particle and accelerator science. We are establishing operations in New Mexico to build a hub for cutting-edge research, development, and commercialization. We are seeking a Chief Scientist to lead the scientific vision and direction of a breakthrough accelerator technology from concept to reality. This is a technical leadership role for a physicist with deep hands-on experience, responsible for driving complex programs from concept through test and operational deployment. The Chief Scientist will play a critical role in shaping the company’s technical direction in the domain of advanced particle and accelerator science.

Requirements

PhD in Physics, Accelerator Science, or a related discipline.
Deep expertise (10+ years) in high-energy electron accelerators and beam physics.
A track record of leading complex accelerators or advanced R&D programs.
Experience taking systems from concept through validation and iteration.
Ability to operate at both a strategic and hands-on level in a fast-moving environment.
Strong communicator who can bridge science, engineering, and leadership.
Experience with novel accelerator architectures or emerging technologies.
Background in translating accelerator systems into real-world applications.
Connections within the global accelerator or high-energy physics community.
Ability to pass a thorough background check.

Responsibilities

Set and drive the company’s scientific vision, roadmap, and research priorities.
Lead the development of a novel electron accelerator architecture and its core subsystems.
Guide critical decisions across accelerator physics, beam dynamics, system performance, and technical risk.
Partner closely with executive leadership to align scientific strategy with product and program execution.
Translate advanced physics concepts into practical development paths and engineering goals.
Build, mentor, and inspire a world-class scientific and technical team.
Engage with external collaborators, research institutions, and advisors to expand the company’s scientific reach.
