About The Position

Indiana Sports Corp is expanding its leadership team and adding a new Chief Revenue Officer. Indiana Sports Corp is looking for a Chief Revenue Officer to lead the next chapter of revenue growth for one of the country's most established and respected sports commissions. This is a new role and a significant leadership opportunity at an important moment for the organization. Indiana Sports Corp has spent more than four decades building Indianapolis and Indiana's reputation as a destination for world-class sporting events. Today, our opportunity is broader. Our 2050 Vision is focused on making Indiana the global epicenter of sports, and delivering on that ambition requires a modern, integrated approach to revenue. The Chief Revenue Officer will lead that work. Reporting to the President and serving as a member of the senior leadership team, the CRO will bring together the people, strategy, and relationships that generate sustainable revenue for Indiana Sports Corp. This leader will strengthen existing partnerships, create new revenue opportunities, and help us think differently about how our assets, relationships, and statewide sports strategy create value for partners.

Requirements

• Accomplished commercial leader who understands that the best partnerships are built on relationships and results.
• Significant leadership experience in sports, entertainment, events, sponsorship, partnerships, fundraising, media, hospitality, or another relationship-driven business.
• A meaningful track record of revenue growth.
• Being a part of a past successful capital campaign team.
• Sophisticated experience building and negotiating major partnerships.
• The ability to build positive and meaningful relationships and credibility with senior business leaders.
• The ability to create strategy while remaining close enough to the work to drive execution.
• Experience leading, coaching, and holding development and partnership teams accountable.
• Comfort operating in an organization where revenue, mission, and community impact are closely connected.
• A collaborative leadership style and the ability to work effectively across functions.
• Financial acumen and pipeline management discipline.
• Creativity in identifying new sources of revenue and value.
• Understand sports as a business and recognize the unique role Indiana Sports Corp plays at the intersection of sport, business, civic leadership, and community impact.

Responsibilities

• Set and execute Indiana Sports Corp's overall revenue strategy, including a capital campaign.
• Lead corporate partnerships, sponsorship, business development and other revenue-generating activities.
• Build a healthy, disciplined pipeline of new partnership opportunities.
• Deepen relationships with existing partners and identify opportunities to expand those relationships.
• Develop creative partnership platforms tied to Indiana Sports Corp's events, initiatives, and 2050 Vision.
• Establish clear revenue goals, forecasts, metrics, and accountability across the function.
• Work closely with events, marketing, strategy, and executive leadership to ensure revenue opportunities are integrated across the organization.
• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing revenue team.
• Serve as a visible external ambassador with CEOs, senior business leaders, sports executives, and community partners.
• Help Indiana Sports Corp evolve from transactional sponsorship selling toward long-term, strategic partnerships that create mutual value.
