About The Position

Texas Oncology is seeking a Chief Radiation Therapist to join their team at the Paris, Texas location. This role supports the largest community oncology provider in the country, which has a significant presence across Texas and southeastern Oklahoma. The Paris market is equipped with two linear accelerators and a separate HDR vault, serving approximately 75 patients daily with a dedicated team of radiation therapists, medical physicists, and dosimetrists. Requirements

Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy technology program.
Minimum five years actively practicing as an RTT.
Minimum two years prior supervisory experience required.
ARRT certification required.
Valid state license for radiation therapy.

Nice To Haves

Bachelors degree preferred.
At least two years of leadership as a Chief Radiation Therapist preferred.

Responsibilities

Planning, coordination, and evaluation of technical staff.
Interacting with and directing radiation therapists and CT simulation technicians to ensure high-quality radiation therapy treatment.
Performing duties of radiation therapist and mold technicians up to 20% of the time to maintain a high-quality care environment.
Supporting and adhering to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Supervising and coordinating all technical staff, including performance evaluation.
Participating in the QA program to ensure accuracy of treatment plans and delivery.
Reviewing and amending patient billing for accuracy.
Participating in the clinical instruction of newly hired radiation staff and radiation therapy students.
Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; and rewarding and disciplining employees.
Directly supervising employees in the radiation oncology program, which may include mold technicians, simulation therapists, and radiation therapists.
Implementing standard radiation oncology and diagnostic policies and procedures throughout the practice.
Directing the hiring and training of all radiation and imaging personnel.
Developing performance expectations and departmental objectives for radiation staff positions to ensure efficiency and productivity.
