About The Position

The Chief Quality Officer has quality management responsibility for the hospital and all associated departments, including clinics. The Chief Quality Officer, which is director-equivalent, will foster crossfunctional and system-wide relationships beyond the department of quality and patient safety to be successful in a highly multidisciplinary and complex role. Using standards of care, the Chief Quality Officer will work collaboratively with lead quality teams to ensure a safe clinical environment.

Requirements

  • CPHQ certification required (via NAHQ)
  • Extensive knowledge of all aspects of hospital clinical operations, as relate to patient safety and quality, as well as familiarity with infection control, risk management, and regulatory affairs.
  • Extensive experience with EPIC systems, including data retrieval for quality reports. This includes experience as it relates to Critical Access Hospital nuances
  • 7+ years of progressive management in an acute care hospital environment, including an extensive background in healthcare operations with specific involvement in quality and patient safety activities as it relates to critical access hospital environment

Nice To Haves

  • RN with Nonadvanced degree preferred.
  • At least three years of clinical experience preferred.
