About The Position

The Project Controls Lead Manager plays a crucial role in the execution of Project Controls within an organization. This role involves supporting Project Controls implementations consistent with company standards, assisting company leaders in strategic and operational duties, addressing and resolving tactical issues, monitoring project and implementation performance, enhancing coordination and communication among the team and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with internal and external governance requirements, and managing a team of Project Controls professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of all project controls elements including cost, schedule, risk, EVMS, and change control, with a proven ability to lead challenging situations with minimal direction. They should be able to set benchmarks for themselves and others, possess advanced technical skillsets and proficiency with Microsoft Office, and have strong communication and organizational skills. A motivated self-starter with exceptional attention to detail, the ability to prioritize tasks under pressure, and excellent problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills are essential. Flexibility to adjust to changing deadlines is also required.

Requirements

  • Accredited associate or bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, engineering, business administration, or a related field.
  • 15+ Years Relevant Experience
  • Several years of experience in program management, cost control, or a related field, with a strong background in Project Controls.
  • Must have strong cost management, scheduling, and project planning and estimating skills, as well as the communication skills necessary to interface with external engineering, architectural and construction firms, suppliers, the management team, and other organizations within client organizations.
  • Must have experience in developing budgets, cash flows, and/or schedules.
  • Must be highly articulate, have clear and analytical approach to problem solving, and strong decision-making abilities.
  • Must have excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Working knowledge of industry standard software, including but not limited to SAP, Oracle, etc. and ERP, Planning & Scheduling, and cost management applications.
  • Must thoroughly understand and utilize Information Technology in the performance of work including Internet, Intranet, Microsoft Windows OS, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite, and Microsoft Project.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Primavera or Microsoft Projects is preferred.
  • PMI, AACE membership/certification or RICS qualified is preferred, not required
