Based or willing to relocate to Carlsbad California.
No violations or at fault accidents

Responsibilities

Directs all training activities of flight crewmembers.
Provides operational input to the Director of Operations on flight crew staffing requirements and training.
Works with the Training Coordinator to schedule crew training.
Advises the appropriate personnel of the status of flight operations and retains responsibility for the training and standardization of the flight crews.
Prepares and maintains proficiency records, flight schedules, reports and correspondence pertaining to operational activities.
Ensures accurate, timely updates to training and currency tracking system. Updates and changes to tracking systems shall not take place until the document, such as a medical certificate, has been received and reviewed for accuracy. This duty may be delegated to trained and qualified personnel but the Chief Pilot retains responsibility.
Under the authority of the Director of Operations, ensures that each aircraft has the required company binders and iPad EFB (s), on board containing; Aircraft Maintenance and Discrepancy Log (form 111), Deferred Maintenance Log (form 110), VOR Check Log (form 136), Operations Specifications, General Operations Manual, General Maintenance Manual, Minimum Equipment List, company forms and noise certification if applicable.
The Chief Pilot is also responsible for providing current insurance certificate documentation for domestic and international coverage, a US Customs surety bond. A letter from the registered owner on their company letterhead authorizing 14 CFR Part 91 International Operations will also be carried onboard the aircraft.
Maintains current aircraft checklists.
Disseminates information to all crewmembers pertinent to routes flown, airports, NOTAMS, navaids and Company policies.
Submits applicable correspondence to the FAA on required training or crew paperwork.
Designates sufficient check pilots to ensure all flight crews conform to standard procedures as outlined in applicable FAA Regulations and Company policies, and to ensure that all pilots maintain current route qualifications and receive proficiency checks as required by FAA and the Company.
Provides administrative support to the flight operations department.
Advises the flight operations department manager and flight operations department personnel on the current status of pilot training, recency of experience and other information regarding training and current pilot status.
Reviews records for accurate record keeping regarding flight crew flight & duty hours.
The Chief Pilot also has the responsibility to ensure all outside flight and duty time has been logged by pilots who receive compensation for such service no later than the fifth (5) day of the month following such outside flying. The Chief Pilot may delegate the record keeping functions to trained and qualified personnel; the Chief Pilot retains responsibility for the accuracy of the record keeping.
The Chief Pilot must be highly knowledgeable of the Operations Manual, FAA Regulations, Operations Specifications, flight manuals, etc., and other instructions pertinent to his duties.
The Chief Pilot is authorized to exercise Operational Control under 14 CFR 135.77. The procedure for notification that the Chief Pilot has assumed responsibility for operational control is the Director of Operations, Assistant Chief Pilot or the Director of Flight Standards will notify the Chief Pilot that Operational Control has been transferred to them and a reasonable expectation of the duration of that authority and any outstanding or unusual circumstances not visible on the schedule shall be briefed. This notification may take place in person, via phone conversation, e-mail, or text message. The Chief Pilot will then notify the charter department, Director of Operations, Assistant Chief Pilot, Director of Maintenance, and Director of Safety in person, via phone conversation, e-mail, or text message to complete the notification procedure
