About The Position

Guggenheim Investments is seeking a Chief People Officer. This role serves as a senior executive leader for Guggenheim Investments, aligning people strategy with business goals, workforce performance, and company culture, and partnering with the executive leadership to advance the firm's strategic priorities. Duties include leading a team of HR professionals, working with Legal on sensitive employee matters, establishing a talent management strategy, including overseeing recruitment and performance management, developing compensation strategy, mitigating human capital risk, and providing global HR oversight for UK, Dublin, India, Dubai and Japan operations. This role is based in Stamford with travel to our other office locations.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience, including enterprise HR strategy.
  • Experience leading multiple HR verticals, including Talent Management, Organizational Development, Total Rewards, HR Operations, and Talent Acquisition.
  • Demonstrated success partnering with executive leadership teams and Boards of Directors.
  • Strong background leading organizational transformation, culture initiatives, and leadership development.
  • Experience managing compensation, benefits, performance management, succession planning, and organizational design.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence across all levels of an organization.
  • Bachelor's degree required

  • Experience within Asset Management, Investment Banking, or Private Equity firms strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provides strategic HR guidance to key stakeholders, assessing how business decisions may affect the workforce, mitigating people-related risks, and ensuring people strategy is embedded in enterprise decision-making.
  • Serves as an integral member of the executive leadership team to understand critical aspects of the business’s plans and provide proactive HR solutions.
  • Serves as a thought leader and strategic advisor to the business on HR matters.
  • Leads a team of human resource professionals to provide tactical HR support to help solve organizational challenges through people-related support.
  • Work closely with legal to respond, manage, and bring to resolution highly sensitive employee matters
  • Works with the business's executive management team to establish a sound plan of management succession that corresponds to the strategy and objectives of the business.
  • Oversees recruitment, performance management, and all facets of the employee life cycle.
  • Works with business unit senior leaders to develop, implement and communicate a compensation and advancement strategy and plans that are competitive and fit the needs of the asset management organization.
  • Ensures mitigation of risk by identifying human capital management weaknesses and trends in the business, implementing strategies to mitigate cultural risk, and partnering with Legal to review and respond appropriately to employee relations matters.
  • Global oversight for HR direction and strategy for business’s operations in the UK, Dublin, India. Dubai and Japan (and other jurisdictions as we expand).
  • Provides overall leadership and guidance to the GI HR function by ensuring talent development of the GI team of HR professionals and the efficient deployment of talent, to provide comprehensive support to the business.
