About The Position
Join the UDRI team and help design, test, and fabricate long-life packaging and storage solutions. Enjoy hands-on support with a great team, delivering quality solutions to the warfighter. The ideal candidate will support the Air Force Packaging Technology & Engineering Facility (AFPTEF) located at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH with the design, testing, and fabrication of long-life packaging, support, and storage solutions by performing the following duties individually or as a team member.
Requirements
- Technical certificate from an accredited technical college, trade school, vocational school, or apprenticeship program in a relevant field
- 15 years of work experience with equipment maintenance, repair, or similar
- 5 years demonstrated successful collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to follow complex instructions with the fabrication and assembly of packaging with no supervision and mentor younger personnel
- 5 year experience with quality assurance, maintenance record keeping, and related efforts
- Track record of identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvement
- Experience working with the US Air Force
- 3 years experience working with the Air Force Packaging Technology & Engineering Facility (AFPTEF)
- Effective written communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite – namely Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Attention to detail
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
