About The Position

RTR Pilates is seeking a Chief Operations Officer (COO) to serve as a strategic operational leader responsible for executing the company's long-term growth strategy. The COO will focus on maximizing profitability, scaling company performance, and building an environment that delivers a market-leading customer experience. This role operates as the 'Integrator' within an Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS), holding accountability for the leadership team, ensuring clarity, communication, consistency, and accountability across all studio locations. The COO will harmonize the leadership team, remove barriers to execution, and translate the visionary's big-picture ideas into operating reality. The COO will work collaboratively with the CEO (Visionary) to co-develop long-term strategic plans and will take full ownership of execution, leadership team management, and day-to-day operations.

Requirements

  • Demonstrably aligned with RTR’s Core Values; cultural alignment and behavioral fit are screened first.
  • 5–8+ years of senior operational leadership experience (COO, VP of Operations, or equivalent) with a proven track record of setting ambitious targets, achieving results, and successfully scaling a multi-location company.
  • Proven success growing a business within the boutique fitness, luxury hospitality, or an analogous premium, high-touch customer service industry where client retention is paramount.
  • Strong financial acumen with extensive experience managing multi-million dollar P&L statements, budgeting, and performance analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, or a related field is preferred; an equivalent track record of exceptional operational leadership will be fully considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Prior experience working within an EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) environment is a plus, though a strong willingness to learn and adopt the framework is acceptable.
  • Steady and even-keeled under pressure; a calming, stabilizing, and highly organized presence who has the emotional intelligence to hold people firmly accountable while maintaining healthy, trusting professional relationships.
  • Full-time role requiring local, in-person presence within the DMV area.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working within an EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) environment.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the central operational leader and Integrator, leading, managing, and holding the leadership team accountable to core metrics and the RTR brand standard.
  • Build and protect leadership team health by establishing vulnerability-based trust, healthy conflict around ideas, genuine commitment, peer accountability, and a collective focus on company results.
  • Proactively identify and clear obstacles, bottlenecks, and competing priorities that slow the team down, enabling department leaders to execute their rocks and hit their numbers.
  • Assume full responsibility for the company's profit and loss statement and overall operating performance.
  • Ruthlessly analyze and optimize studio-level and corporate expenses, identify revenue-driving opportunities, maximize asset utilization, and maintain a disciplined focus on ROI and cost containment.
  • Drive the New Studio Opening (NSO) blueprint and expansion playbook to scale operations smoothly into new regional markets.
  • Partner with the leadership team to define expansion strategy, ensuring the operational readiness of new regions and the seamless integration of new studios into the existing ecosystem.
  • Partner with the CEO and leadership team to co-develop, refine, and execute the company’s long-term Strategic Plan (Vision/Traction Organizer).
  • Translate long-term strategy into actionable 90-Day Strategic Initiatives (Rocks) and clear, weekly metrics (Scorecards) for the entire organization to follow.
  • Spearhead high-impact corporate special projects, including leveraging effective technologies and automation tools to streamline repetitive administrative tasks across workflows.

  • Comprehensive health insurance (medical, dental, vision)
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match
