About The Position

Recovery Consultants of Atlanta (RCA) is seeking a strategic and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead operations within a dynamic, mission-driven behavioral health organization. This is a unique opportunity for a proven leader with deep expertise in behavioral health, integrated care models, and regulatory compliance to drive organizational performance and expand impact across the communities we serve. As COO, you will play a critical leadership role in shaping operational strategy, strengthening systems, and ensuring high-quality, compliant service delivery aligned with CARF and CCBHC standards. You will partner closely with executive leadership, clinical teams, and community stakeholders to advance RCA's mission and position the organization for continued growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in behavioral health or healthcare operations
  • Demonstrated experience in integrated care environments
  • Proven track record managing multi-program or multi-site operations
  • Strong operational and financial acumen
  • Deep understanding of behavioral health systems and service delivery
  • Ability to lead through complexity and drive organizational change
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Data-driven mindset with a focus on performance and outcomes

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Social Work, or related field preferred
  • Experience with CARF accreditation and/or CCBHC standards strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operations across clinical, administrative, and support services
  • Translate organizational strategy into actionable plans that drive measurable outcomes
  • Strengthen operational infrastructure to support scalability and program growth
  • Ensure effective delivery of services aligned with integrated care and CCBHC models
  • Collaborate with clinical leadership to optimize care coordination and patient outcomes
  • Support program development and service expansion initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with CARF, CCBHC, and all applicable state and federal regulations
  • Lead quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain readiness for accreditation reviews and audits
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), including: Revenue cycle performance, Staff productivity, Service delivery outcomes
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency while maintaining quality of care
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Inspire teams to deliver high-quality, compassionate, and client-centered care
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and standard operating practices (SOPs)
  • Improve workflows and operational systems to enhance service delivery
  • Leverage data and reporting to drive informed decision-making
