About The Position

Pool and Spa Depot is seeking a Chief Operations Director (COD) to be based out of their Stones River, TN headquarters. This role is crucial for driving consistent execution, accountability, and operational alignment across various departments including Retail, Human Resources, Customer Care, Service, Delivery, Construction, and Warehouse/Inventory. The COD will also coordinate operational readiness with Inventory, Purchasing, Finance, and Marketing teams. The company is a leading pool and spa retailer in Tennessee with a vertically integrated model that includes manufacturing. This position is key to helping the company achieve its revenue target of over $100M.

Requirements

  • Multiple years of proven experience in multi-location operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to build a highly accountable, well-coordinated operating environment that supports and drives scalable growth, strong margins, and a consistent customer experience in related retail, logistics, construction operations, or a similar environment.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the bridge between leadership direction and day-to-day operations, owning the performance, discipline, and consistency of execution across the business.
  • Ensure that company strategy, KPIs, and SOPs are accurately defined, implemented, collated, and that all associated behaviors are actively managed and optimized across all divisions in the business.
  • Effectively strategize across and with all divisions to continuously improve alignment, structure, talent, processes, and execution.
  • Eliminate operational inefficiencies and bottlenecks within our Warehouse, Logistics, and Operations groups in order to better serve our customers, company, and retail groups.
  • Possess and direct through a clear, execution-based leadership style, with the ability to hold Directors to high standards of implementation and execution.
  • Continuously act to improve internal talent and manage talent acquisition efforts to acquire and improve talent across all divisions.
