About The Position

The Department of Surgery, Division of Urology at Boston Medical Center – Brighton, a member of the Boston Medical Center Health System, is seeking a full- time Board-Certified fellowship-trained physician as Chief of Urology. The urologist's responsibilities include treating patients who have problems with their kidneys, adrenal glands, and bladders, and treating men who experience problems with their reproductive organs, prostate, and external genitalia. The position requires the candidate have at least five years of clinical experience and proven leadership experience and will have oversight of the hospital’s urology providers. Clinical responsibilities include office practice and hospital consultations. Physician should have a good working knowledge of male and female genitourinary organs as well as experience with a variety of medical treatment techniques. You should also be compassionate and sympathetic towards patients. Boston Medical Center – Brighton is in the Brighton neighborhood of Boston, near some of Boston’s major universities. The hospital serves a diverse patient population from the Boston area and beyond.

Requirements

  • Board Certified and Fellowship trained in Urology
  • Massachusetts Licensed
  • At least five (5) years of Urology experience with demonstrate leadership and administrative experience.
  • Strong Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels of the organization to promote a culture of patient safety.
  • Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to collegial and evidence-based practice and patient care.
  • Good working knowledge of male and female genitourinary organs.
  • Experience with a variety of medical treatment techniques.
  • Compassionate and sympathetic towards patients.
  • Vaccinated against COVID-19 and flu, as well as receive a booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

  • The base salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to clinical FTE, qualifications, experience, education, board certifications, specialty, training, and scope of practice.
  • Any eligible incentive compensation is not included in the above compensation range and will be discussed during the interview process.
