About The Position

At General Intelligence Company, we’re building highly-capable autonomous agents for startups. Our goal is to enable the one-person, one-billion-dollar company. Our agents don’t just automate workflows - they replace them. As Chief of Staff, you'll work directly with founders as their day-to-day operator. You're the person founders lean on for everything: strategy, operations, people, capital, partnerships.You'll be solving any and every problem preventing us from shipping fast and scaling quickly. This role will be intense and rewarding. You'll learn a lot and quickly be given a large amount of responsibility.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of hands-on experience in startup operations, people ops, or as an executive assistant at a fast-growing company
  • Built and managed recruiting pipelines; conducted interviews and assessments; know how to find and evaluate talent
  • Experience with cap tables, equity management, HR systems, and company compliance
  • Track record unblocking teams and scaling operations without adding process/politics
  • Comfort with finance, modeling, and data; can build in Excel/Sheets or learn new tools fast
  • Experience supporting a CEO or founder directly; you know what founders need before they ask
  • Incredibly high proficiency with AI models and AI tooling; hands-on experience with AI coding tools like Cursor
  • Shipped something meaningful

Responsibilities

  • People operations: Build and own recruiting pipeline; conduct interviews and evaluations; handle hiring, onboarding, and people logistics as we scale
  • Company operations: Manage cap table and equity records; handle HR admin (contracts, documentation, compliance); coordinate with lawyers and accountants
  • Strategy & execution: Translate founders' vision into quarterly roadmaps; track progress obsessively; course-correct quickly
  • Fundraising operations: Build models, manage diligence, coordinate with investors; own metrics that matter to capital conversations
  • Cross-functional unblocking: Own how teams coordinate; optimize decision-making loops; identify and remove bottlenecks before they slow us
  • Business development & partnerships: Identify strategic opportunities; manage early conversations; ship deals that unlock growth
  • Finance & operations: Own bookkeeping, budgeting, and long-term financial planning; manage vendor relationships; handle compliance/admin without letting it slow us
  • Data & analytics: Build dashboards and reporting that drive decisions; connect engineering metrics to business outcomes
  • Direct executive support: Be the founder's right hand - manage their calendar, priorities, and information flow; own their decision-making processes
