About The Position

We’re seeking a strategic, systems-oriented, and trusted operator to serve as Coforma’s Chief of Staff. The Chief of Staff (CoS) at Coforma is a high-trust, strategic operations executive who partners directly with the CEO and collaborates with members of the Executive and Leadership teams to drive clarity, accountability, and operational momentum. You will enable the CEO to operate at their highest strategic level while ensuring the organization executes effectively and evolves toward scalable, repeatable success. The CoS will serve as Coforma’s Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) Integrator, responsible for embedding and sustaining the EOS across the organization. This includes owning the execution cadence, leading Level 10 meetings, managing Rocks and Scorecards, and harmonizing departmental execution. As Integrator, you will ensure that the strategic vision translates into day-to-day actions. The CoS integrates Coforma’s delivery, design, technology, and operations teams—translating strategic priorities into focused execution and serving as a central hub, managing enterprise rhythm, supporting internal communications, and overseeing cross-functional coordination. You are a key contributor to decision-making infrastructure, performance measurement, leadership enablement, and culture stewardship. Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in strategic operations, consulting, government services, or executive advisement
  • 3 or more years of experience in a senior advisor or Chief of Staff-type role, working directly with C-suite executives
  • Familiarity with GovCon operations, EOS/OKR frameworks, and mission-driven organizational culture
  • Critical thinker who is not afraid to ask questions and offer suggestions and has a willingness to learn new technologies and tools
  • Strong writer and communicator who is able to distill complex or technical regulatory requirements into plain language and can communicate clearly and succinctly with colleagues at all levels across the organization
  • Proactive, empathetic, persistent, discreet and positive leader with a growth mindset and strong interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and able to anticipate challenges and adapt to changing situations with new information
  • Experience with systems integration, implementation, and change management
  • Experience with G Suite, Slack, Zoom, Unanet, and project management or ticketing software such as JIRA
  • Full-time resident of the United States (must be legally authorized to work in the US now and in the future without sponsorship)
  • Must be able to successfully pass any applicable background and/or security checks as needed

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the EOS Integrator, owning the execution framework, facilitating Level 10 meetings, tracking Rocks, and resolving cross-functional tensions
  • Implement and maintain EOS governance tools: scorecards, issues lists, and accountability charts
  • Partner with the CEO and Executive Team to manage strategic priorities and drive decision-making across the enterprise
  • Coordinate leadership team cadence, Executive Team meetings, offsites, and coaching sessions
  • Develop and maintain a unified strategic planning structure for the executive and leadership teams (e.g., EOS, OKRs, quarterly reviews)
  • Establish the process for the development of operational briefs, recommendations, and context summaries for executive decisions
  • Translate high-level goals into workstreams and operational priorities; ensure organizational focus through structured prioritization and business planning support
  • Own the CEO’s internal execution system, ensuring priorities move with velocity and visibility
  • Identify and resolve friction points across the Leadership Team; design and implement operational playbooks
  • Coordinate and support cross-functional readiness for scaling operations, entering new markets, and supporting product launch alignment across teams
  • Collaborate with the Head of Marketing and Communications to shape internal messaging aligned with executive priorities and strategic plans
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Communications, People and Compliance teams to reinforce culture, support change management, and scale leadership effectiveness
  • Serve as a communications proxy for the CEO and other executives when needed
  • Support executive and internal communication planning during periods of transformation or uncertainty
  • Contribute to internal continuity planning and crisis response in collaboration with the Executive Leadership Team
  • Support proposal development and go-to-market strategies as a strategic advisor and subject matter expert (SME)
  • Support the operationalizing of delivery, growth, and contracts coordination playbooks in the organization
  • Serve as an internal resource for proposal leadership, technical review, and past performance integration
  • Collaborate with leadership to grow the communications practice, integrate strategic org change, and contribute to client growth initiatives through structured participation in growth strategy sessions
  • Lead time-bound initiatives and confidential workstreams that span strategic partnerships, operational restructuring, or board-level planning
  • Represent the CEO in select client, partner, philanthropic, or investor engagements
  • Own follow-through on strategic projects by tracking milestones, aligning stakeholders, and synthesizing progress for executive review
  • Support high-priority projects such as partnerships, sponsorships, benchmarking, and go-to-market (GTM) readiness, including market research, positioning, and pricing strategy
