About The Position

Transformworks is an AI strategy and implementation firm built for private equity. We partner with private equity firms to deploy AI across their portfolio companies in healthcare, education, and essential services. We’re profitable, growing fast (2x’d revenue in our most recent month), and doing it with a lean team that punches well above its weight. We own the full lifecycle from strategy through production deployment. We don’t have layers of management or long decision cycles. We have a small number of exceptional people who move fast, think clearly, and take ownership of outcomes. This role is built for someone who thrives in that kind of environment. This is a founding hire. You’ll work directly with the CEO to run the business: managing client delivery, driving business development, and building the operational infrastructure that helps us scale. On the client delivery and operations side, you will: Manage delivery across multiple client engagements, ensuring milestones are hit and risks surface early Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, not someone behind the scenes Build the processes, playbooks, and internal systems that let us scale without adding headcount Sit in on discovery sessions, help scope AI opportunities, and translate findings into deliverables On the business development side, you will: Draft proposals, SOWs, and pitch materials Research prospects and support the sales process from outreach through close Help shape how we position the firm and communicate our value to private equity operating partners and portfolio company executives You’ll start embedded alongside the founding team on existing engagements. As you build a track record, this role leads directly into an engagement leadership or sales leadership position, depending on your strengths and where you create the most value

Requirements

  • 2-4 years at a top consulting firm, in private equity or investment banking, or in a high-intensity operational role at a startup or growth-stage company
  • Technical background. You don’t need to be an engineer, but you should be comfortable in technical conversations. You understand how AI systems work at a high level and you’re not intimidated by discussions about architecture, data, or tooling.
  • Already using AI tools daily. You’ve built things with Claude, Cursor, or similar. You’re not just interested in the AI revolution, you’re actively participating in it.
  • Can draft a client-ready proposal on Monday and run a project standup on Tuesday
  • Comfortable building process from scratch. This is a founding role with real ambiguity. Strong communicator who can hold their own with a C-suite audience

Nice To Haves

  • experience in healthcare, education, or financial services
