About The Position
Ashland Animal Hospital in Ashland, Massachusetts, is seeking a Chief of Staff to serve as a medical leader and practicing clinician. The role combines providing high-quality patient care with mentoring associate veterinarians, guiding medical protocols, and shaping a collaborative, high-performing team culture. The Chief of Staff will help influence the hospital’s medical direction while practicing veterinary medicine alongside the team. The hospital is an AAHA-accredited, 100% small animal practice with four exam rooms, a treatment area, a fully equipped surgical suite, updated kennels for hospitalized patients, ultrasound, digital radiography, and digital dental radiography. It does not offer boarding or grooming. The schedule is four weekdays per week, including a dedicated surgical day, with rotating Saturdays. Ashland Animal Hospital supports community organizations including Pittie Love Rescue and NEADS Service Dogs through its medical services. The position is based in Ashland, a suburban town approximately 20 miles west of Boston.
